i was hurt on the job and they was sending me to the docter and to theply but at my last visit the docter sent me back to work told me that my shoulder was resolve and my shoulder is still hurting, so when i asked my HR personal what was my next step becouse my shoulder was not resolve, they said that i could go to my personal docter but if my docter put me on lit dutiy that the job don't have lit dutey work

You can ask for one panel of four physicians, and they must give you a list of four physicians not in the same group. Given the type of injury you described, I would request a panel of 4 orthopaedic surgeons; otherwise, they will give you a list, but some of the doctors may have a different specialty, i.e. pain management or something else. Please note that if you request a panel of 4, you cannot request it again so whichever doctor you choose, that will be the doctor you are stuck with unless he/she refers you to another doctor. Also, if the doctor puts you on light duty and they don't have light duty, you will be entitled to 2/3 of your average weekly wage until the doctor says you are at "maximum medical improvement" or MMI. At that point, MMI, your payments will stop. If you have a permanent impairment, you might be entitled to a settlement. If you have any further questions, you may e-mail them to [email protected].
