Two years from the date of the incident for negligence and wantonness under the medical liability act. I don't know if you could extend it to 6 years under a claim for trespass to the person. I would be interested in looking at the case. Please give me a call at (205) 254-3927.

Generally, the statute of limitations on such types of actions is two years from the date of the incident. Such cases have received a great deal of media attention lately - although there are always issues of proof. There have been some fairly decent sized verdicts against such companies in the past, but it depends a lot what County you are in. I would be interested in discussing this case further with you.
