My mortgage company Is trying to charge me after 10 dollars a day late fee after 30 days late. I need to know if that is legal?

What does the mortgage say? What does the note say? Such a fee is probably a penalty which would not be allowed. You must first review the documents to see what they say. Even if they say you can be charged such a fee, that does not mean that the mortgage company can charge that amount. Review the documents carefully.
