Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Alabama
My father died recently. My mom is living in the house and would like to have my brother and I in a postion where when she passes the house is ours. She does not want us to suffer financially now or when she is gone. What do you recommend.

One option would be to deed the house to you and your brother, but retain a life estate in the property. Under that arrangement, she would own the house as long as she was alive. However, at the time of her death the property would automatically belong to you and to your brother.
