Legal Question in Social Security Law in Alabama
disability
Our daughter, Grace, was approved for disability but then denied on the basis that our income was over the limit. My husband makes 450.00 per week and I receive 350.00 per month from child support for 2 children from my first marriage. My husband currently pays out 700.00 per month on his 2 children from his first marriage, could this be right? It just doesnt make sense to us. How can they count my childsupport as income and then deny his childsupport payments as a deduction? We are dirt - poor!

It doesn't seem fair to me either. I would have to do some research before I could give you a definitive answer on this. Feel free to call me tomorrow or send me a followup email.
