Legal Question in Traffic Law in Alabama

Miranda Rights

I was recently arrested for an outstanding traffic ticket which i had a warrant for. I was in the passenger seat and the cop ran my id to. He found out I had a warrant so pulled me out of the car and arrested me. He never read me my miranda rights during this time. Do i have any legal actions i may take to make this charge not valid.

Re: Miranda Rights

You do not have to have your Miranda rights read to you when you are arrested. This is a common misperception. The reading of Miranda rights are only required when you are interrogated while in custody. As a precaution, most cops read them upon arrest, and Hollywood goes overboard with this concept, but they're not required with an arrest. From the facts you've given, it doesn't sound like anything improper was done.
