Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama

Afriend of mine past away in Jan 2012 in his will he left me a vehicle , I was told by someone that has contact with the person in charge of the will that they might sell this vehicle. Is that legal and shouldn't I have been contacted seeing as I am in this will

Normally if a gift of a specific asset has been made in a will, the executor of the will must honor that bequest unless the debts of the estate are such that there would not be sufficient funds to pay off his creditors without the sale of that item.

You might want to hire an attorney to look into this for you.
