Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama

I am a beneficiary of an Irrevocable Grandchildren Trust and the grantor has passed. I do not trust the person in charge of the Trust now. He is a member of the family, and not an attorney, accountant, or anyone in the banking industry. He has no knowlege of Trust funds or how to disperse of them. I have only received one sum that I was supposed to receive, and when he is asked about the rest of the Trust he comes up with odd reasons that I haven't received them. What do I do to demand an accounting of the funds? I don't have the resources to hire an attorney. I just want my Grandfather's assets dispersed fairly.

You are going to have to get someone to help you with this. The trustee must act for your benefit in the trust. If you don't think this is happening, you can sue to have some other trustee appointed, and an accounting will be demanded by the court. THis is very important for you to do something before the money disappears. Don't delay with this. Please call if you'd like to discuss this further.
