beneficiary of a trust fund
I was told that I had a trust fund set up by my gramndmother. She died when I was 8. We have not had any contact with her husband for 10 yrs. How do I know if a fund exists or if one ever existed?

Was an estate opened when she died? Who administered it? That would be the person who would know. You could check with the Probate Court in the County where she died to see if an estate was opened. If you were 8 when she died, and she set up a trust for you, there has to be a trustee of the trust. Your parents would probably know.
