Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama
I was name executor of my mom will, however I reside in Virginia. I was told by attorney that Alabama law requires the executor to reside in Alabama. Is this correct in all instances in Alabama?

No. Alabama law does not require an Executor to be an Alabama resident. If she died intestate, you would need to be a resident to serve as her Administrator, but that is not the case if her will is valid.
