Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama

My father died 1 1/2 years ago. His will has already been probated although, my brother and I, his only children, were never notified of the proceedings. His wife, my step-mother was the executor. The will was written very strange. In the first paragraph, it says that his wife is the executor, and basically, everything goes to her. The next paragraph says that his bequest are as follows, and lists that his land is to go to his two children, my brother and I. She has that land up for sale. When I questioned her about it, she said that we weren't his heirs. She said that she could do as she wanted because it was all hers. Do we have any recourse? Can we do something about the fact that we were never notified of the probate? Thank you!
