Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama
My half sister was listed as beneficiary on my late fathers life insurance policy - it was a very small pay out. At the funeral home when her and my other half sister were making the arrangements - the funeral director had her sign the policy to pay for the expense's - which she knowingly and willingly signed - now she thinks she should be given that money back out of the estate. Should she be given this money back?

Reimbursement of funeral expenses paid by another are given priority under the law. If the life insurance proceeds were hers, then she might as well have taken the money out of her savings account. Yes.
