Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama
I need an interpretation of my grandmother's will. She left me her house, including all the contents located therein, to be mine absolutely and in fee simple. Can you please explain this for me?
Thank you,
Jack Cagle

Jack,
You didn't say whether your grandmother is deceased or not. If she is, what has the attorney who is probating the will told you? Are you represented at all? If so, your attorney should be answering this for you. If you are not represented, in general what this bequest means is that, if she still owns the items at her death, you will receive them outright. If she is not deceased, of course she can always change her will or dispose of the home before her death.
