Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama

What do I do about a lawyer that isnt doing her job? I have a law suit that has settled and she was suposse to have sent payment into medicare and shes yet not done that so that we can settle this case. As of april 11 2010 there will be more interest charges on the bill if this isn't taken care of . What can I do about this The interest charges already are 1/4 of the payment becuase of the neglect that has accured

Make an appointment with the attorney. Tell her you need to discuss this with her and allow her to address your concerns. From the facts, I can't tell what the issue is, and that does not really matter. If she does not perform as she should, take the case to another lawyer. If she has sone something that amounts to malpractice, she is liable to you for damages. But, please sit down with her and let her tell you what is going on.
