My Mother's Will
My mother passed away leaving her house and property to my bro & me jointly, my sis having had her portion already deeded to her. Contents of the house & other assets were to be divided between the 3 kids. But, prior to her death a large part of the land was sold to pay expenses. Is the money from the sale now to be divided 3 ways, or just between my bro and me since it was land that we would have inherited? What do we need to do now?

Depends on what her Will says. It could go either way. Since you are midway between Gadsden and Anniston, there are a lot of lawyers to choose from. Contact a Probate lawyer and pay him/her for an hour of time to get the answer you deserve. It will be money well-spent. Why risk some offhand answer online when there is much to lose if the answer is wrong? The will determines how the money will be divided. Take it with you.
