Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama
I was named the executor and trustee of my Grandfathers will. Before I could file the will his 2 daughters went 4 days after his death and file a "NO WILL" and were given letters of Administration. Do I have any recourse on these actions. The last 5 years of their life I spent taken care of him and my grandmother which is also dead at this time and moved into their home as they were bedridden and no one was checking on them. I lived 4 hours away so I quit my job to see that they were taken care of, when their own children lived 5 minutes away and never visited either of them until the days they passed away. I have no money to fight them in court. Both daughters were well aware that there was a will in place.

I suppose my first question is why aren't you already in a lawyer's office getting him or her to represent you? This is something you don't need to waste your time with on a list like this. You are in Jefferson County. You should have a Birmingham lawyer representing you ASAP. Find one who handles probate. We do.
