Unpaid medical expenses
My unmarried sister was placed in a nursing/hospice facility and died after a week. She owned nothing, had only a life insurance policy to cover funeral expenses. Bills are now being sent for medication and nursing. Who is responsible for these bills, legally?

If your sister was an adult then no one but her estate is responsible for her bills. The insurance policy isn't even responsible. All it takes is a lawyer to remind the billing dept of this fact, so call someone close to you and pay them to write one letter for you.
