Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama

Hi? I am a single mother of two kids. Age 2 and 7. I would like to have a simple will drawn up that at the time of my death I would like my mother their grandmother to raise them. My daughter who is 2 has not seen or heard from her father since since she was a few months old. He has bi polar, and does not pay child support and refuses to see his child. And my son who is 7 his dad is in bad health. At times he has problems raising himself and his son. Both children have been joinlty raised by myself and my mother their grandmother all of their young life. I am on one income and make it from pay check to pay check. So is there some one willing to help me and my children with this for a small fee.

Your zip code is in Huntsville. I encourage you to contact the Huntsville/Decatur Bar Association (should be in phone book) and ask them if they have any "pro-bono" lawyers willing to provide this service. I think that there should be someone local to help you. I am in Birmingham and that is quite a drive. Good luck,
