Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama
No will
My dad died in the state of Alabama with no will in place. Does my Mom get all of the assets automatically, or can my brother take her assets (land).

If your Mom was still married to your Dad, she is entitled to a portion of the estate regardless of whether there is a will or not. You need to contact a lawyer in Mobile to help you out. I suggest a Probate attorney or an Elder law attorney. Check with the Mobile Bar Assn to get some names in those practice areas.
