Re: Workers Compensation vs Unemployment Compensation
You have two years from the date of injury or the date of the last payment of compensation to file a lawsuit. you may file a lawsuit if you have been injured on the job. Workers' compensation is strict liability; therefore, you do not have to prove that the company did something to cause your injury. I do not know much about unemployment compensation. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to give me a call at (205) 254-3927.
