Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alaska
I recently went to small claims court to get payment from a customer. The court ordered him to pay only the amount that he siad he was wanting to pay and that is allright with me, but now he is seemingly unwilling to pay this amount either. He sends me emails regularly with very legal sounding text which got me curious about his background so I looked up on line and discovered that he is an attorney. I would like to know if it should have been his obligation to disclose this information to me before we went to small claims court or not?

No. He was under no obligation to disclose that information. If he testified in the trial, you probably should have asked what line of work he was in.
You do understand that you can collect this judgment by obtaining a writ of execution or garnishment, right?
