what is the penalty for stealing $10,000 from your job?

Theft in the second degree is a class C felony.
Imprisonment for a class C felony can be as much as 5 years, but if it is a first-time offense, it would probably be under two years. There are a number of other penalty provisons as well, including fines and restitution.
