Legal Question in Family Law in Alaska

I'm the custodial parent, but I'm ordered to provide half of the transportation, and it conflicts with my work schedule. Is this a good reason to request that the non custodial parent provide 100% of the transport?

Perhaps. Perhaps not.

It depends on several factors. Did you have the same work schedule when the visitation schedule was ordered? If so, the court has considered your schedule and you cannot allege changed circumstances. If the schedule is now different, a change might be appropriate.

Have you discussed with the other parent the various possible options? A change in the visitation schedule, modification of the times when you provide transportation so as to work around your schedule are two of the isues you should consider.

Is it possible to get someone else to provide the transportation when you are working?

When all else fails, you might need to ask that the other parent provide transportation more of the time.
