Legal Question in Family Law in Alaska

custody

I fled for the safety of myself and my six children from Alaska to Maine (family lives there). The AK judge ordered me back as my husband filed for divorce (which I know that he does not want). Since I fled, he has painted me as the incompitent parent and himself as a god. Judges, lawyers and Child Services alike are all taken in by his 'Angelic' behavior and pleadings. He continues to lie about me, uses the kids to get to me, and guilt trips them for 'letting this happen'. He is unstable himself. I left an aggrivated drunkard that has since dried up and gone 'holy'. This in itself is scary even to my children. Judge ordered 1 wk on/off trading on Fridays. His parents were beckoned and are arriving in a week to help him raise my children. My question: With everything so loaded against me, how can I manipulate the system into seeing him for who/what he truly is and sparing my children more pain? (he is abusive in all spectrums of the word). I must gain full custody before hymens or bones are broken, but no one will sit up and listen to myself nor my children's complaints! Thank you for your time.

Re: custody

Talk with an attorney in Maine immediately. In some instances, you can avoid returning with the kids if you can adequately show that you fled the children's home state because of abuse or imminent threat of abuse. You'll need a family law practitioner with knowledge of the UCCJEA.
