Legal Question in Family Law in Alaska

My deceased friend

My best friend had recently passed away in Alaska where she moved with her now ex husband a couple years ago. They have an 11 month old baby together, but he is such an unfit parent I cant even begin to explain his ways. They broke up because of how abusive he is towards my friend so she didnt want the baby around that. Right now my friends parents are fighting for custody of the precious baby and wants to give it as much love as her momma did. My question is, is there any way that even though he had supervition visitations towards the baby they will not let him have the baby. We all have proof he's an unfit parent and we are all hopeing the baby's grandparents are eligible to take the baby in there care. This is happeneing in Alaska and if there are answers or information pertaining to grandparents rights or custody battles involving a case where one biological parent is deceased and the other is unfit and the grandparents are fighting please help.

Re: My deceased friend

I'm not sure what help you can be from here. This is Alaska law and needs to be handled by an Alaskan family law attorney. Hopefully grandma and grandpa have a good one. If they don't have an attorney they absolutely need one NOW! No matter what state the case is in they need a good family law attorney! This is not a DIY case.
