Your zip code suggests you are in Indiana. Did your father live in Alaska?

AS 13.12.102 (a) (4) provides that the decedent's widow gets "the first $100,000, plus one-half of any balance of the intestate estate, if one or more of the decedent's surviving descendants are not descendants of the surviving spouse.".

If the property he left behind is worth more than $100,000, the children should contact me or another attorney in Alaska for seeing to it that they receive their shares.
