Legal Question in Family Law in Alaska

Can I file for child support when my husband and I still live together, and have no plans to divorce? We are married, live together, have two children, plan to stay married.

My husband pays child support on his first child, but the court in that state does not recognize his obligation to additional children unless there is a court ordered obligation to support them. So if we got support ordered through our state then that state would recognize that he pays money to support our kids as well.

No.

If you do not want to sue for divorce, Alaska has no provision for separation and separate maintenance. So you can not get a child support decree under these circumstances.
