Legal Question in Family Law in Alaska

I currently live in Alaska, my ex-husband lives in California. We were divorced in Washington State in 2005. I have just discovered that we had a Mutual Fund account that he knew about (we are joint tennants) that was valued at approx $20,000. I found that account in the State of California's unclaimed property website - they lost contact with him in 2006 with no forwarding address. It is currently valued at almost $34,000.

I believe that he intentionally hid this asset in his interogatories during divorce. What state would I file a court action for this asset? When I called him to let him know I just discovered this money, he said he knew about it "a few years ago" but it wasn't enough money to worry about (I'm unemployed and that's a lot of money to my daughter and I!)

You would file a motion in Washington to modify your divorce decree.
