Legal Question in Family Law in Alaska
As part of my divorce settlement, the QDRO states I am to receive 25% of my wife's retirement. She is a professor at a university in Alaska and the people in charge of the account say I can't get it until she retires or leaves.
I am approaching 60 and am not likely to see that day. Do I have an option?

Probably not. In general, what the people have told you would be correct.
If you would like, scan the QDRO to me. I can review it and determine if there any way around that.
By the way, when you write "my wife's retirement", I assume you mean your ex-wife's retirement, correct? When is she scheduled to retire?
