Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Alaska
If I have won a small claims judgment (monetary), can I "assign" the ownership of that judgment to someone else so they can enforce it for themselves? I spoke with a court clerk who said it can not be done however I have spoken with several people who say it is possible.

Civil Rule 25 c) concerns transfers of Interest. It says that, unless a court rules otherwise, "In case of any transfer of interest, the action may be continued by or against the original party, ...". There doesn't seem to be any statute probhibiting assignment or transfer of a judgment.
