Legal Question in Insurance Law in Alaska
Hit and run
My car was recently damaged by a hit and run driver. The owner of the vehicle was tracked down, and does not have any auto insurance. According to the owner, a friend was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. My insurance does not cover this, so I plan to pursue the full amount of the repairs through a small claims court. Who do I sue, the driver who actually hit my car, or the owner of the vehicle?

Re: Hit and run
Most states' laws hold the operator responsible and to a lesser sum, the owner. And the operator may have his own insurance so make sure to write him/her with a demand and see. And your insurance does not cover this because you don't have collision coverage?
