Legal Question in DUI Law in American Samoa

DUI/legal drinking age

I was wondering what the legal limit of blood alcohol content for a DUI is; the penalties; the legal drinking age; and what occurs to the person's drivers license for the country of Austria?

Re: DUI/legal drinking age

I'm a little confused by your question. Are you an Austria in Washington? If so, the legal limit for DUI is .08 or, the less certain, "driving is affected by alcohol." So, if an officer sees bad driving and there is bad performance on field sobriety tests or other evidence of impairment than you can still be convicted even if under .08. The legal limit for someone under 21 is .02 when driving. 21 is the legal drinking age. A first offense DUI has mandatory jail time and large fines in addition to requiring chemical dependency evaluation. You can lose your license (the actual physical license can be punched showing it to no longer be valid). What impact this will have on your driving status or ability to get a new license in Austria I have no idea.
