Re: Citizenship

based on your inquiry, it seems that you already have obtained your US Citizenship. So your question is best addressed to the Austrian Embassy (there should be one in the US) to see what Austria's rules are regarding having dual citizenship and how to get an Austrian passport, etc.

Re: Citizenship

The Immigration and Nationality Act states that US citizens are subject to loss of citizenship if they perform certain acts voluntarily and with the "intention" to relinquish US citizenship. One of these acts is obtaining naturalization in a foreign state. Basically, you would have to "intend" to relinquish your US citizenship to lose it. If you don't intend to relinquish your US citizenship in obtaining Austrian citizenship then you should be able to maintain your US citizenship. Austrian law allows dual citizenship.
