Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona
Can my ex girlfriend sue me for the remaining balance due on a credit card that was used while we were together? I was an authorized user on the account, but the actual credit card was in her name.

As an authorized user on the account, you may be held responsible in part for the debt. She may, indeed, bring a legal action against you. Generally, the credit card company would also come after you for the debt. You would have to prove you did not use the credit card in order to prevail. If you did you use it, you are responsible. Depending on the amount of debt you have otherwise, a bankruptcy could be an option for you.
