Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Arizona
I lived with two other people, I moved out three months before my lease was up. I gave notice to the landlords in writing that I was moving out. Hand delivered it, spoke with a leasing agent. I paid my portion of the rent, till our rental agreement was up. Now these two people are trying to collect for utilities that were charged to them after I moved out. My name was never on any of the bills.
Also I gave my portion of the deposit/ I never received that portion when I moved out.

You might want to consult with a local attorney. It sounds like they're turning to you as a responsible person who pays your bills. Assuming the utilites are not in your name, with only the facts you've provided, it does not appear that you are legally responsible for the bills. If you choose not to pay, your former roommates would have to file a claim in the local Justice Court which you'd be able to challenge. My advise would be to do nothing at this time.
I work in Cochise County and would not be able to assist you in any other county.
Good Luck,
