How bankrupty relates to future marriage
I filed for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy from a previous marriage about 2 years ago. I have since divorced and in a new relationship and plan to be married! My fiance has excellent credit. How does my bankruptcy affect our future and for how long? Thank you!!

Re: How bankrupty relates to future marriage
Your bankruptcy will only affect her if you attempt to gain credit in "both" of your names. Your bankruptcy will follow you for 10 years, however you need to purchase a credit report and make sure all information is accurate. If you intend to purchase a home, car, etc. You may contact our office for a consultation if you would like to gain additional information.
