Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Arizona
bnakrupcy and divorce
if you file bankruptcy chapter 7 a week after you get divorced, do you have to file separately or together? if you can file separately, does each person get the exemptions? is there a part of the law that states how long until you can get remarried?

Re: bnakrupcy and divorce
If you are divorced, you must file separately. If you have only filed but the divorce is still pending, you can file separately or together. The exemptions for the kids would depend on who is supporting them. There is no remarriage time frame...you don't even have to wait for the ink on your divorce papers to dry.
