If I and another person have a card together and the primary card holder declares bankruptcy; am I responsible for debt or do I have to file bankruptcy to?

Re: credit card

If you were a signer on the credit card, you are both responsible and if the other person files, you will be solely responsible for the debt. If you are unable to pay the debt, you could consider bankruptcy to discharge your liability for this debt, too. It would also discharge any other dischargeable obligations you may have.
