Typically, filing bankruptcy before a foreclosure is the best time to file because the bankruptcy can stop the foreclosure, giving you more time in the condo. It also can give you time to sell the property and get rid of those HOA fees that can still exist after a foreclosure. Talk to a bankruptcy attorney, because you want to pick the best time to file bankruptcy, so you get the most from your bankruptcy. Hope this helps.
