Legal Question in Business Law in Arizona
Aquiring Existing Employees
When buying an existing business with existing employees, is there a grace period to evaluate if you will keep employees or not? I have employees who have become verbally disruptive in the work place within the first 30 days of acquiring this business and would like to know what my rights are?

Re: Aquiring Existing Employees
I don't believe there are any statutory requirements that you keep employees after purchasing a business, so it should depend on the terms of the purchase agreement. Did you agree not to fire employees for a stated period of time? Otherwise, you probably have a lot of flexibiity here, but you should consult an employment law specialist first.
