Legal Question in Business Law in Arizona

car repair

Hello, a few days back i had my car taken to a local repair shop for a engine swap because the one currently in the car had a blown head gasket. Everything went fine they told me but when they handed the keys over they said the started suddently ''went bad'' and that my AC now has a leak somewhere... i went and payed for the service maybe coming back later for a discounter price... but then i try to use my trunk... and the latch is broken??!!? and i was wondering how it could have broken when they were working on the engine bay... so i crawled back behind one of my rear seats to find a Oil Pan i placed in the front seat to see now that it is in the TRUNK and the trunk now no longer works, as well as various damages in the engine bay itself.... what can i do when they have made almost more stuff wrong with the car than when i brought it in!! thank you!!

Re: car repair

You will need to sue them for damages, for the costs of correcting and repairing all the items they did wrong and any loss of value of the car because of what they did. There may be a question of why you agreed to a new engine when the only thing wrong was a blown head gasket. There are more complaints at the Better Business Bureau over auto repairs than any other. You can sue in small claims court, up to $5000 or in Justice court for up to $10000.
