Legal Question in Business Law in Arizona
Corporate Relocation Policy -- Time Limit
My relocation policy states: ''You are expected to remain at the new location for eighteen (18) months from the effective date of
transfer, unless transferred again at the request of CNH. If you voluntarily terminate employment
with CNH prior to the expiration of the eighteen (18) months, you must pay CNH all relocation
expenses previously reimbursed or paid by CNH including all home purchase plan costs.'' These costs are approximately ~$30k. I believe that I have just cause to have this policy waived. Specifically, unreasonable pay targets (I need the variable income to live). I can go into much more detail if you'd like about other reasons for my need to leave the company. Do you expect the company will pursue this money? I understand this is vague... but it is short and to the point as requested.
