Legal Question in Business Law in Arizona
Lack of funds for musical services
An agent in Phoenix has given me a check with insufficient funds for a gig/service I performed in Feb. He owes me $600. He doesn't return my calls. Can I get this money that he owes me?

Re: Lack of funds for musical services
If he gave you a check knowing that there were no funds to cover the check, that may be a criminal offense. You can sue him in small claims court and get a judgment, however, you still have to collect on the judgment. You should definitely pursue him and collect.
