Revocation of goods after purchasing a used vehicle
I purchased a used vehicle on 9-10-97 (96 dodge dakota with 525 actual miles, still has 3 yr/36000 mi waranty), on 9-11 I notice the temp gauge didn't work, on 9-12 I noticed a power steering leak. I took it in for service on 9-20 and they fixed the leak and when they put a new temp sensor in it blue another cooling system sensor causing a short in the on board computer circuit board. I got my truck back on 9-22 and on 9-27 the clutch on the air compresor froze up. I took in for service on 9-29 ( it is there as I am writing this). I dont trust the vehicle and would like to either get another vehicle from them or get my money back (I paid cash for the truck). The dealer told me they cant do anything but fix the truck per the warranty. What legal rights do have on giving this truck back to the dealer?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Motor Vehicle Warranty
I do not practice law in your state. However,I believe your rights will be controlled by yourwritten warranty agreement. There may beprovisions in there that an attorney can look at. Also I suggest you check to see if yourstate has a lemon law statute with regardto vehicle. A local attorney would be in abetter position to advise you.
