Legal Question in Business Law in Arizona

I just started an LLC that does web related business for clients. Website design, search engine optimization, consulting, etc... I would like to put other websites under this LLC. For example, the main business would be web design and marketing but there would be other revenue-generating websites that I will be building that fall under the LLC. How can I best do this? By setting up subsidiaries? By setting up divisions? I would like to set up only one business bank account as well so any money coming in and out of these areas of the business would be through this one bank account.

You can accomplish your goals by setting up each website under a fictitious name, so that the owner of each website is the "LLC, doing business as _________________." For accounting purposes you can deem each one a subsidiary or division of the LLC. You file the fictitious name certificate with the Secretary of State's office and publish notice in a legal newspaper (there are many to choose from).

Organizational engineering requires an analysis of the complete business and tax structures you are confortable with, the number of employees, if any, working for each business, and usually requires looking forward several years to your long-term goals. We usually set up a consultation with our principal attorney for a nominal fee in order to discuss all your options, then roll it up into a flat fee for the work you decide you need.
