Legal Question in Business Law in Arizona
Statutory Agent Question:
I have a client that resides in the state of Arizona who owns two corporations. He would like to change his statutory agent to our firm but we are not residents nor do we have authorization to conduct business in his state. Question: Could he name our firm the statutory agent but use his physical address? I have called the state on two occasions but received conflicting answers.
Thank you

You must be qualified to do business in the state of AZ and have provided a business address where you can be served with legal process. That address may be your client's address, but you are undertaking certain duties and obligations when you agree to act as statutory agent for an entity.
