If you a have a civil rights/discrimination case pending in the Superior Court and need an civil rights attorney but have not found one. Can you ask for an extension?

Requests are made by Motion in the civil justice system. If you require more time in which to locate an attorney you must file a Motion within the deadline time explaining your problem to the court and asking for the relief you seek. The judge may or may not schedule a hearing on the topic. You should request that the defense agree to your request prior to filing, as that could make things easier and is required by the rules.
