Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Arizona
I live in Arizona. My ex husband called the police to do a welfare check. He said he was concerned that our children were alone in my house. Nobody was home, and the police entered my home to check on my children. Was this illegal entry by the police?

No, because the police had a legitimate belief that there were minor children who were unsupervised in your home at the time. However if your husband did it knowing that no one was home, this was interfering with a police officer/false "arrest" - that is, lying to the police is a crime in and of itself. If that is the case, please report it to the police for follow-up charging by the prosecutor's office in your area. Best of luck!
