Legal Question in Technology Law in Arizona

Website startup question.

I am thinking about starting a website where visitors can post their experiences related to particular Brand Name items.

1) Can I be held liable for what users post in their reviews? I assume some will be positive and others negative.

2) Am I allowed to use the company's logo , along with their name when referencing the category? (eg Honda (name) Honda (logo). If not the logo, I can use the brand name right?

I see similar sites all over so don't think there are any issues, but I just want to be sure, before I invest any time into it.

Any suggestions would be great.

Re: Website startup question.

This is a question you need to research on your own first. Read the terms of services of the sites youw ant to emulate and see what caveats they build into their systems. Nolo has a bunch of information on fair use and intellectual property rights. The web is FULL of information that can help you.

If this is to be a commercial site, you should hire a lawyer even if just to help you set up the disclaimers you need to post.
