Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona

Appraisal collection

I am trying to collect on several outstanding invoices for an appraisal service. Collection efforts were made before I started working here. These invoices date from 2000 til July of 2001. The notes of efforts before me show that the company's name has changed twice. All of my efforts to track the responsible party point to one man. I have recently found this man, but I want to make sure I take the appropriate steps for collection if it's not been too long for a fair collection. Can I legally persue collection and are there certain steps I would need to take to proceed correctly?

Re: Appraisal collection

Be sure to comply with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in all of your attempts to collect these debts. Arizona law provides a 6 year statute of limitation for written agreements.
